Best Cheap Foundations

Foundation is one of the best makeup products we have, but which is the best? It's hard to find a product that is amazing yet still affordable for the everyday person to buy, because of this I have gone through many and have recommended 3 below whilst still giving my honest thoughts. I have included light, medium and full coverage foundations so you can each find your perfect match!

Light-medium (easy to layer)

Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation £5.99
Starting of, this foundation is a product I think everybody needs to own. I of course love all three of these but personally this is the best. For the ridiculously affordable price tag, this foundation applies perfectly allowing a flawless base for the rest of the makeup that's layering on top. It has light to medium coverage which is brilliant for summer but can also layer well without caking or drying out (perhaps for the winter months), it also has no flashback which is good for how you look in photos and also real life. The only downfall I have to say for this foundation is the applicator, it is a relatively small plastic wand with a flat pad on the end. For me personally I love it and think it allows such perfect and even distribution however I can see the sanitary issues provoked by it. There are 20 shades which compared to other brands is very good, if you can find your perfect match or at least 2 that you can mix you will definitely be wanting to repurchase again and again.

Light Coverage

Garnier BB Cream £9.99
This is a BB cream, a different type of foundation. It is a much lighter product, mainly used just to even out your skin tone instead of conceal big blemishes. It has a much lighter coverage due to its thinner and creamier consistency however if this is what you're looking for then its perfect. If you want an even lighter coverage, the good thing about this is that you can mix it with a daily moisturiser maybe to go on your neck or other features. As it is a BB cream, to apply is so much easier as you can just with your hands and it will look just as good. For the price, you get a normal amount of product, its not ridiculously affordable but it lasts a long period of time which is in my opinion worth it. Unfortunately there are only 2 shades which is extremely disappointing as not everyone is going to be able to find their match - there is "light/medium" and "medium/deep". However what I use when this is the case is lightening drops or darkening drops which is a mixer for products like this to change the shade slightly.

Full Coverage

The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation £5.70
This is a FULL COVERAGE foundation if you ever saw one! Its product comes out liquid(y) and feels so light on the skin, despite being so full coverage. To apply, pump a small amount onto the hand and use a brush or beauty blender to evenly distribute the product and then of course blend it. This foundation does not leave backflash nor oxidise so what you pay for is what you get! I love using this in winter time when my skin has a few more blemishes than usual and needs a bit of a stronger coverage. For the price, this foundation is amazing, it lasts especially long as you only need 2/3 pumps (in my personal preference) to get a full face. It has small packaging which is great as a compact travel to bring on journeys. There are 21 shades in the range which is amazing and you are sure to find your perfect match with this!
